 Outdoor Adventure Experiences
Not just 'jargon' but a road map for innovative development of tourism products that will continue to see Northern Ontario's travel industry grow. WildExodus has partnered with Partners in Eco-Adventure Tourism, to promote its existing line of outdoor experiences and test a new offering; Photo Safaris to the World's Largest Crown Game Preserve. This is a 'once-in-a-life-time' canoeing experience with global appeal to people 45+ with empty nests, a high level of disposable income and a thirst for high scale adventures. Joining our team to lead these photo expedition will be a wilderness guide certified by ORCA as a canoe tripping expert qualified to lead these trips.

Friends of the Grassy
More than 200 people attended an information meeting hosted by a group of local outdoor recreation enthusiasts concerned with a hydro electric development proposal for High Falls. The group suggests that the tradeoff between all the existing social economic benefits and those of the proposed development are not equitable and that therefore, the project's approvals and implementation should be reconsidered.

High Falls - Grassy River
Most of us at the Park have visited this natural wonder on a yearly basis and attended with much interest. Thank you, on our behalf and that of the may international visitors WildExodus has shared High Falls with. This year, and until possible, we will continue to make High Falls a major destination attraction in our product offerings and encourage you to join us in our annual visits. More information on this initiative can be found at: http://www.savehighfalls.com/

Turn a friend on to angling
If you or someone you know would like to try fishing in Ontario waters for the first time (or the first time in a long time), circle the weekend of July 4-6, 2008 on your calendar. For those three days only (12:01 a.m. Friday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday), Canadian residents can enjoy the fun of fishing in Ontario without a license during the annual Ontario Family Fishing Weekend.
Hurst ElectricHurst Electric Kids Fishing Tourney
Sponsored for the first time this season... Anyone under 16 who's parents are registered for the Kenogamissi Invitational Tournament automatically qualifies for free entry. Rules are the same but we remind youngsters that anyone operating a motor boat needs to have a P.C.O.C. Everyone must catch their own fish and take a picture with it and a measuring tape. You can fish anytime on Kenogamissi Lake only and between  May-run and September 30. Two take-home trophies will be awarded to the biggest Pike and Pickerel and there will be consolation prizes for everyone who entered. Winners names will be entered in the perpetual trophy at the lodge. Harry will fish with small groups of contestants for 4 hours on 6 days over 3 weekends each in June, July, and August.

What's in the works...
A proposal for the enhancement of facilities at Wawaitin Holiday Park is being considered. More details will be available in the next issue of the Gazette.
Signage
WildExodus: Wawaitin Holiday Park are now compliant with regulations of the Ministries of Transport and Tourism & Recreation that will allow us to participate in the highway tourism signage program. Things are going according to plan, within the next months you will be able to tell your family and visiting friends to look for our signs (along side those for Shania Twain, Kamiskotia, Cedar Meadows, etc.) on highways 144, 11, and 101. You may find us using GoogleMaps and GoogleEarth.

Landscaping
Lots 20, 21, 22
Quite a bit of work remains before this area is completely landscaped. Camping remains a major activity (57%) for leisure travelers to Northern Ontario and we want to continue providing the best facilities in the Timmins area. The completion of interior camping yurts should increase our level of attention to those potential customers we now know so well visit Timmins every summer.

Volunteers Needed
The Parks 3 seasonal events are possible only through the time and effort of those permanent residents who volunteer to serve on your Parks 'Events Committee'. Comprised of a team leader and two event coordinators, this committee is responsible for all aspects of the events, from planning to clean up. Funding for all major purchases (main courses, children prizes, trophies, awards, fireworks, etc.) is made available by Park's management.
3 new volunteers are needed by THIS May Run to begin preparations for the yet un-staffed Canada Day Celebrations.
Many pictures of events at Wawaitin Holiday Park and of expeditions by WildExodus have been published and can be viewed for free at: KodakGallery.com/WildExodus You can purchase our 10th anniversary legacy photo book and other Kodak photo products with these images by using the 'Marketplace' link.
