MATTAGAMI YURTS - Available Spring 2008

A yurt is a camping cabin, full frame rental unit built just like your house with 2 x 4's and insulation. Rather than drywall however, the interior is a rough-sawn pine boarding to give it that rustic appearance. Each cabin sits up off the ground on a solid wooden deck with entrance step. There is private key lock entrance door, lights (inside and out), 30 amp electrical service, and there is a water tap at the outside corner of the cabin for convenience. All camping cabins on private lots are approximately 16' by 20' with a large covered porch. All Camping Cabins are furnished with 4 single beds and comfortable mattresses. Other furnishings include a table and four chairs, fire extinguisher and smoke detector, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. A wash basin, bucket, broom and dust pan are provided. In the true camping spirit, guests are asked to sweep out their Cabin before leaving. Outside, the Cabins are provided with individual picnic tables bbq's and campfire pit. Communal water, clean-up facilities and modern restrooms with hot showers are nearby. What You Bring Just bring your own sleeping bag or bedding, and the usual camping/travel conveniences. This property has a long history of contributions to the tourism industry plant of Northern Ontario, Canada. In 1993 new owners undertook a rejuvenating program to update all the facilities in the campground to 21st century standards.
